I knew Jimmie Tribble before coming to serve at FBCMWC because we had crossed paths multiple times, especially when I served as Associate Pastor of Music & Youth at Britton Baptist Church in OKC. However, after serving with Jimmie this year and seeing his passion for service, I have grown to appreciate his heart for the Lord and willingness to do whatever God asks him to do! He is generous with his time in ministering to students, parents, senior adults, athletic teams, coaches, and the list goes on. He is always quick to volunteer to help when anyone expresses a need.
Almost every day, as I enter the church from the southwest side, I look up at the giant cottonwood tree in our courtyard with wonder and amazement. The tree is so impressive because of the massive trunk and the size of its grand branches which continue to multiply every year. The part we cannot see is the root system of the tree. I’m quite sure the roots spread far and wide underneath our church to spring water which is its source of strength and power. Jimmie is like that tree. He relies on God’s power to minister to all of us in a loving and powerful way.
“He is like a tree planted beside streams of water that bears its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.”
