When you think of the word evangelism, what comes to your mind? A large stadium filled with people? A small booklet with a set of diagrams or pictures? A Christian wearing a pin with the symbol of a fish or a cross? A Christian playing the role of a salesman convincing a reluctant buyer to “try Jesus?” Evangelism is not always a popular word in the church. While some people think it’s a good work for others to do, they’re sure it isn’t for them. Evangelism, though, isn’t about being a huckster who cons people into buying what they don’t need. Evangelism is simply sharing with people what we know about Jesus and what He has done for us. “We do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 4:5). No tricks. No deception. No coercion. Share the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth—in love. Then leave the results to God.

On May 12, we will have another Second Saturday Outreach. Wendell Kluge has done an outstanding job promoting, organizing, and leading us to take only about one hour to connect with prospects that have been discovered through special events and Sunday services. This month our focus will be on registered guests to our annual Eggstravaganza the day before Easter Sunday, in addition to other guests and inactive Sunday School members. The response in March and April was tremendous! After FAITH concluded, this is the only organized outreach ministry currently functioning.

I am so proud of and thankful for our CMA children and our BASIC students! They presented the gospel so beautifully last Sunday night! Thank you, Bro Reece and Brianna, for your leadership and all the CMA and BASIC group leaders for your commitment and dedication to this great ministry!

You are loved!
