Top Five Excuses for Not Singing in the Church Choir
- I can’t carry a tune in a bucket – the last time I sang in public it took the pound two days to round up the dogs.
- I’m afraid someone will call me a choir boy – people will look at me and I’ll feel uncomfortable.
- I want to sit with my family.
- I can’t read music.
- I’m too busy to add one more thing to my schedule.
Take a minute to think past the excuses. Has God gifted you with a singing voice? Do you consider worship and leading others to worship a worthy ministry to be involved in? We need more singers in every section! We rehearse on Wednesdays from 7:00 to 8:15pm and we are praying that God will send us more singers – especially tenors & basses. I encourage you to come and sit in on a few rehearsals and let God affirm your call to this ministry (no strings attached). We will start working on Christmas music in a couple of weeks. Please join us!
