FBCMWC: Be a Model Church
The Apostle Paul had a fond affection for churches and that was certainly true concerning the church in Thessalonica. Both he and Silas preached there but had to leave because of persecution from the Jews and, as a result, they could not return. In fact, Paul wrote that the believers themselves had received the word in much affliction. In the opening chapter of his first letter to them, he described the kind of church he left behind in that wicked city. As you examine the characteristics of this church, it ought to motivate you to examine your own lives and ask yourselves, "Am I helping FBCMWC be model church?"
