February 7 —Men’s Day 10:15 a.m. and Chili Cook-Off after the morning service
(No evening service)

 Guest Speaker: Vince Carter.  Oklahoma center Vince Carter earned All-America honors as a senior in 2004.  In 2005, Carter signed with the Oakland Raiders of the National Football League. In the spring of 2007 he stepped away from football to pursue his passions for music and ministry. In the winter of 2008, he successfully released his first album entitled “Man After God’s Own Heart,”. Carter now resides in Lawton, Oklahoma with his wife, Shannon, where he operates Break Out, his personal fitness facility, and serves as the SW Oklahoma Area Director for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.      

Guest Guitarist Edgar Cruz: Was selected as Oklahoma's Best Performing Artist/Acoustic Guitarist five out of the last ten years by the Oklahoma Gazette, Edgar gives over 200 live performances a year, mesmerizing audiences everywhere with his unorthodox style. Click here to see/hear Edgar playing at OBU back in December 2001. 

Also, the FBC Men’s Choir will participate in the service. After the morning worship service, we will have the Men’s Chili Cook-off in Fellowship Hall. Men...get out your best recipes, then cook 'um and bring 'um.

February 12 Parents Night Out 6:00 p.m. ~ 10:00 p.m. Please make your child’s reservation by noon the day before for each child. Cost is only $7 for the first child and $5 for each of the other children in the family.

Mission Trip Support

 

Ryan Melton is going on a mission trip this summer back to Cardiff, Wales. He will be going in a leadership position this year and will be there for five weeks (June 19-July 30). The amount he needs to raise for this trip is $5,000. If you can help with a donation, please turn it in to the church office and mark it for Wales Mission Trip—Ryan Melton.
