| 2010-07-07 | Karen Ward's Hip Surgery/Situation as of June 8, 2010 (Wed)
July 4th, 2010
As many of you now know, Karen has had her surgery. She continues to have a lot of swelling in her hip and leg, but is slowly progressing. She was well enough today (July 4th) to sing with the choir during the special 4th of July Music Program. Please continue to pray that the swelling will continue to go down and that her hip will heal completely, soon.
June 8, 2010
Karen's surgery, scheduled for June the 3rd has had to be postponed indefinitely due to an infection that is still present. She is continuing to take anti-biotics for the infection. Please continue to pray that the infection will be cleared soon and that a new date for her hip surgery can come quickly.

As most know, Karen's surgery had to be changed to a doctor in the Dallas area due to her local surgeon not being able to schedule her before late in June. Consquently, she had to get an appointment with a surgion in Dallas, TX. As she and Terry were leaving for Dallas on Tuesday, June 1st, they recieved a call from the local surgeon's office saying that there has been a cancelation of a surgery here in the OKC area and that they could now schedule Karen for surgery on Thursday, June 3rd. Soooo, Praise the Lord for answered prayers. Please continue to pray for her and Terry...and the surgeon.

Larry Brewer:> I received this prayer request from Terry Ward. Earlier, I had asked him what the situation is about Karen's need for hip surgery. This is his answer.
From Terry
The surgeon's office called today (May 21st ) to say they are booked full until late June. I really don't think she can make it that long. Her other leg is giving out on her. We may have to change surgeons and start over but that will take a while too. Please pray that this gets worked out the way God wants it to. |
