Adopt A Soldier
Enduring Love Ministry
We are gathering items for our Service Men and Women stationed overseas. This is an ongoing ministry, as our loved ones are missed throughout the year, not just during the holidays.
We need:
1) Names and complete addresses for soldiers stationed overseas. Accurate addresses are so important. We have had some boxes returned to us because of inaccurate addresses. If you would like your loved one to be included please turn in this information to the church office as soon as possible.
2) Items to pack: Toilet Paper, Baby Wipes, Chap Stick, Hard Candy, Gum, Sun Tan Lotion, Ink Pens, Pencils, Note Pads, Pringles, Beef Jerky, Tootsie Roll Pops, Hot Chocolate Mix (Envelopes), Cookies packed in coffee cans, Nuts, Sunflower Seeds, Corn Nuts, Batteries (all sizes), Kool-Aide, Lotion, Toothpaste, Baby Powder, Phone Cards, Microwave Popcorn, Any Microwavable Foods, Instant Potatoes, Pkg Gravy Mix, Pasta/Sauces, Deodorant (for both male & female)...current magazines (Sports Illustrated, People, Newsweek, Time, Readers Digest, etc.)
3) Clear Package Tape
4) Money to help mail the boxes. Make your check payable to First Baptist Church, MWC
