Grace Will Find You ~ Reece’s Pieces 11-5-2021

If you’re a follower of Christ, you’ve been blessed to   experience God’s amazing grace.  We usually define grace as unmerited or undeserved favor, a kindness    toward us that we did not earn.  Our Majestic Voices Choir has been learning a song that gives us a fresh look at grace.  The name of the song is “Grace Will Find You.”

Does God actually pursue us with His grace?   When and how does this happen?  In scripture, we see an example in Luke 15 when the prodigal son returns home and his father runs to meet him.  Instead of waiting for the son to get to him, while he was still a long way off, the father was filled with compassion and was compelled to run, embrace, and kiss his son.  This is a picture of God’s grace and love for us.  “While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

Does this happen today?  What are some of the times that God’s grace finds us?  Here are a few examples from the song lyrics.  God’s grace will find you:

· At the end of the hardest road, in the silence of a broken home
· When you’re struggling with old weaknesses or new fears
· When hope is gone
· When you are struggling with your past
· When you are trying to numb your pain
· In the moment of your greatest shame
· When you’ve lost your dreams
· When your loved one says goodbye

At these times, and others, the song says “I’ll remind you that the Father runs to you, it’s His heart to pursue you anytime, anyplace, anywhere.  Grace will find you there.”  You can look forward to hearing the song in worship this Sunday morning.  See you there!
